Sip the Magic: Starbucks Unveils Wicked-Inspired Drinks and Merchandise

Starbucks is teaming up with Universal Pictures to celebrate the upcoming movie Wicked, which will be released in theaters on November 22. Starting October 22, Starbucks will offer two new drinks inspired by the characters Glinda and Elphaba.

New Drinks to Try

Glinda’s Pink Potion: This fun drink is made with a Mango Dragonfruit Refresher, creamy coconut milk, ice, and real freeze-dried dragonfruit. It’s topped with nondairy strawberry cold foam and colorful candy sprinkles, adding a bit of magic. Starbucks developer Natalia Vasquez said they aimed to capture Glinda’s bright personality with this pink drink.

Elphaba’s Cold Brew: This cool drink is based on Starbucks Cold Brew coffee, known for its smooth flavor. It’s sweetened with peppermint syrup and topped with nondairy matcha cold foam and green candy sprinkles. Starbucks developer Rosalyn Batingan mentioned they wanted to reflect Elphaba’s bold character with this drink.

Exciting Merchandise

Along with the new drinks, Starbucks will launch Wicked-themed merchandise starting November 7. Fans can find special cups, tumblers, and keychains in pink, green, and gold shades at select Starbucks locations in the U.S., Canada, and other countries. These items will only be available for a limited time.

Wicked tells the story of the witches of Oz, focusing on the friendship between Glinda, a popular girl, and Elphaba, who is misunderstood because of her green skin. Their journey of finding themselves and accepting who they are makes the story special.
